What is computer class about?

Computers are complicated and powerful tools that affect every aspect of our lives, but for students the ability to use them to produce required porjects is critical.  As a student in my classes, you will learn to use presentation software, word processing software, database software, desktop publishing software, spreadsheet software as well as digital imaging software.  Students will improve their keyboarding skills and learn how to prevent long-term repetitive stress injuries through proper ergonomic techniques.  Students will work on project-based assignments designed to expose them to the most common elements of each type of software so they are prepared for rigors of high school.  Students will also learn about Internet Safety and security to better protect themselves from a range of issues like identity theft, viruses and personal safety while online.
